How to Connect Adjustable Resistor

How to connect the common adjustable resistor is the detail we should pay attention to in the working process. To know the connection method, we must understand the principle of the adjustable resistor, so as to be more accurate in the connection process. In the connection process of adjustable resistor, the main factors affecting the negative value of adjustable resistor should be thoroughly analyzed, because it is necessary to have a clear understanding and grasp of the value of the circuit when connecting, so as not to cause unnecessary faults in the use process of adjustable resistor. Today, we can simply describe the connection method of adjustable resistor. The specific contents are as follows:

Varistor and voltage regulator

Description: The varistor is a fixed point connected to 0 bits, and the other fixed point connected to the voltage, so that the adjustable voltage can be output between the fixed point of 0 bits and the movable head. Voltage regulator is a short connection between a fixed point and a movable head, so that the resistor between the two fixed points can be changed.

The joints on both sides are fixed resistor and sliding joints are in the middle, so they can be changed between 0K and nK, and can be connected separately according to the requirements of the circuit.

Three-legged adjustable resistor, two feet on both sides are the two ends of the resistor, the middle foot is the movable contact point. Measuring the two feet on both sides is the value of the whole resistor . The resistor of the middle foot and any foot depends on the angle of rotation. If there is a 50K potentiometer to measure the resistor of two feet on both sides, its resistance value is 50K. To measure the resistance value of the middle foot and any foot on either side, it depends on the position of the handle. If the middle foot and any foot are turned to the middle position, then the resistance value of the middle foot and any side foot is 25K. If the rotation continues, the resistance value will also change. If it becomes smaller, the other side will become larger.

What should we pay attention to when using adjustable resistors? Because when connecting resistors, we need to pay attention to all kinds of things in the circuit to ensure that the circuit is smooth and avoid unnecessary faults caused by adjustable resistors. How to correctly adjust the adjustable resistor in use and what are the characteristics of the adjustable resistor, these are the relevant personnel need to pay attention to and know.

Analysis of Welding Steps for Installation of Adjustable Resistors

  • Welding step 1: Before welding, some flux should be coated on the pad and treated with soldering iron. The purpose is to avoid the bad tin plating or oxidation of the pad during welding, which results in bad soldering.
  • Welding step 2: Next, a small amount of flux should be added to the pins of the left and right diagonal positions of the resistor, but it should be noted that the resistor should be put on the PCB board to align the lead of the patch resistance with the pad. At this time, the temperature of the Luotie should be adjusted to 280 C or 300 C, and then the tip of the Luotie should be dipped with a small amount of solder. 。 At this time, the pins on the two diagonal positions of the resistor should be kept parallel with the soldering pins to prevent the resistor pins from being soldered through due to excessive soldering tin.
  • Welding step 3: After the welding of each end foot of the general post resistor is completed, remember to remove the excess soldering tin on the resistor pin, so as to avoid some short circuit or unstable overlap in the use of the resistor. However, after the cooling of the rear resistor, it is necessary to check whether the resistor pin has virtual welding or loosening with tweezers. If necessary, the welding can be readjusted.
