Bourns’ new range of ESD/EFT surge protection for high power density and small size requirements。
Bourns, the world’s leading manufacturer of electronic components, has announced two new series of ESD/EFT surge protection products to further expand the discrete voltage transient suppression TVS diode product line. Bourns designed the new model TVS diodes SMA6J and SMA6J-Q to protect the power bus and I/O interface in the data line and DC power supply. In addition, the Bourns® SMA6J-Q model is AEC-Q101 compliant and is ideally suited for communications, industrial and consumer electronics applications that are used in certain harsh environments and require high reliability.
Both models are available in a small, industry-standard DO214-AC (SMA) package with a peak pulse power (PPP) power consumption of 600 watts compared to the 400 watt industry standard. TVS diodes typically have peak pulse power ratings, allowing designers to determine the optimal type of application and environment. These unidirectional/bidirectional devices provide a reverse isolation voltage of 5–43 V. Bourns’ new TVS diodes help power supply designers achieve their high power density and small size requirements.
